At University of Juba, our Well-being program aims to promote holistic health — mental, physical, emotional, and social — for all students.
We are committed to providing supportive resources and a nurturing environment so that every student can thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
What We Offer

Counseling & Mental Health Services: Confidential counseling for students dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, homesickness, or any mental health concern.
One-on-one sessions, support groups, and referrals to external providers as needed.

Health & Medical Services: Basic medical care, first aid, wellness check-ups, and health education (e.g., nutrition, sexual health, hygiene).
Includes a campus clinic or partnerships with local health clinics or hospitals.

Wellness & Fitness Programs: Physical wellness initiatives such as fitness classes (yoga, aerobics), walking/running clubs, and recreation facilities.
Workshops on healthy lifestyles, diet, sleep hygiene, and stress management.

Peer Support & Mentoring: Trained peer mentors for student conversations, peer-led groups for shared experiences, and well-being circles.

Crisis Support & Safety Nets: Emergency hotlines, 24/7 on-call mental health support (if available), and coordination with health and safety services.

Workshops, Events & Awareness Campaigns: Mental health weeks, anti-stress programs, mindfulness sessions, seminars on managing exam pressures,
healthy relationships, and substance abuse awareness.

Inclusive Well-being: Support for students of diverse backgrounds (LGBTQ+, international students, and students with disabilities),
ensuring services are accessible, culturally sensitive, and inclusive.
How It Works / How to Access
- Location & Reach: Visit the Well-being Office on campus (address below) or access services online/by appointment.
- Hours: Office and clinic timings as listed below.
- Booking: Schedule counseling sessions in person or online; walk-in options may be available.
- Confidentiality: All sessions are confidential, with limits in cases involving harm to self or others.
- Cost / Charges: Services are free for enrolled students unless otherwise stated; payment methods will be communicated if applicable.
Student Responsibilities & Guidelines
- Be respectful, punctual, and follow appointment policies.
- Understand and sign consent and confidentiality agreements.
- Notify the office in advance to cancel or reschedule appointments.
