The School of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies (SoNRES) at the University of Juba is one of South Sudan’s leading centres for education, research, and innovation in natural resource management and environmental sustainability. Established to address the country’s pressing environmental and developmental challenges, the school provides practical and research-driven programmes that prepare students to manage natural resources responsibly, promote environmental conservation, and support sustainable national development.

Academic Programmes

  • BSc (Hons) in Fisheries and Wildlife Management

Students are trained in environmental assessment, forest management, wildlife conservation, sustainable agriculture, and policy development—equipping them to contribute to the sustainable use of natural resources across South Sudan.

Admission Requirements & How to Apply

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

  • South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE) or equivalent qualification.
  • Passes in English, Mathematics, and at least one science subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Geography).
  • Preference for candidates with strong academic performance in science streams.
  • International applicants must present certified, English-translated qualifications.

How to Apply

1.Obtain the application form from the University Admissions Office or download it from the website.

2.Attach certified copies of certificates, transcripts, ID/passport, and a passport-sized photo.

3.Pay the non-refundable application fee.

4.Submit the completed form and documents to: Admissions Office, University of Juba, P.O. Box 82, Juba – South Sudan.

5.Short-listed applicants will be contacted for interview or evaluation. Successful candidates will receive admission letters and registration details.
