School of Engineering and Architecture

WELCOME TO SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

In February 1997, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Juba invited a team of consultants to look into the possibility of opening a School of Engineering in the University of Juba. The team submitted its report in September 1997 recommending the establishment of the School. The report was approved by the University Senate and the establishment of a School of Engineering was created.

School of Engineering  of the University of Juba is the only accredited center in South Sudan that provide engineering education. SE was established in 1997, in Khartoum. In 2011, the college was finally moved to Juba.

At the moment, the college offers Bachelor of Science Honor in four departments.

Mission

The School is committed to:

  1. To provide high-quality education in the major engineering disciplines from the undergraduate through doctoral levels.
  2. To prepare graduates who will engage effectively and responsibly in the practice of the engineering profession in national and global economy, and in pursuing an advanced engineering education.

       3. To conduct applied and basic research to support and contribute to a sustainable environment and socio-economic development in of South Sudan and beyond.

       4. To foster and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with national and international engineering and architectural institutions.
