WELCOME TO SCHOOL OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES

The School of Arts and Humanities was established vide the College of Arts and Humanities status passed by the University Senate and ratified by the University Council on 30th May 2000 to play a leading role in the cultural and artistic activities in South Sudan and the neighboring countries.

Objectives

• To train diploma, bachelor degree and postgraduate candidates in the field of Arts, languages and humanities to serve the public and private sectors.
• To provide in-service training courses for serving officials.
• To revive the importance of Arts and Humanities and their role in stimulating and to promote co-existence among different people and races, as well as to enrich the African and international thought.
• To act as a Centre of consultancy and research on arts, languages and humanities.
• To maintain and enrich the cultural legacy of the nation.
• To establish and maintain contacts and links with similar national, regional and international institutions to engage in joint study and research activities in the field of Arts and Humanities.
